Workshops

In the Autumn of 2008 the Orchestra will be embarking on a UK concert hall tour which will include substantial educational content. The group will lead day-long workshops for up to 30 young people in each city, who will then join the choir onstage for the finale of the evening concert.

The morning will kick off with a short performance from Shlomo and members of the Vocal Orchestra, followed by 2 hours of breakout workshops. The participants will be divided into smaller groups which will rotate with the various tutors, enabling every participant to have the chance to focus on both singing and beatboxing. In the afternoon the whole ensemble will come together and Shlomo will lead a mass rehearsal, incorporating the vocals of everybody involved. This piece will be repeated as the grand finale of the concert that night.

All the members of the Vocal Orchestra are experienced in teaching and music leading, and this tour presents a unique opportunity for young people to have direct contact from such an inspirational bunch, and get the chance to perform on stage in a concert hall environment.
